About the Producer

Sea Sisters is Britain’s first craft cannery, founded by Charlotte and Angus in Bridport, West Dorset. The company was born in 2020 when the couple struggled to find high-quality British tinned fish for their own family. They decided to create their own, naming the business in honour of their two daughters and the importance of sisterhood.

Angus is a chef with a background in some of London’s leading restaurants, and the early recipe development took place in their small family kitchen. Sea Sisters is built around a love of simple, delicious food - perfect for picking, sharing and snacking straight from the tin.

Sustainability

All Sea Sisters packaging is plastic-free and 100% recyclable.

Their sardines are sourced from fisheries using low-impact fishing methods, harvesting mature fish from abundant stocks. They support women fishers, small fisheries and UK aquaculture.

Sea Sisters sardines are caught by a small fleet of just 10 boats operating around Cornwall. The fishery is certified by the Marine Conservation Society and uses ring netting - one of the most sustainable fishing methods, with gentle harvesting and very low bycatch (under 2% in 2024).
